I of my personal practices is that I insist on having lights ON & BRIGHT whenever possible.....this is a practice that most of the staff at my low acuity hospital find amusing.

As I roll a patient into the recovery room bay....I INSIST on having the lights in the bay ON...ALL of them.

When I get called for an epidural....I tell the L&D nurse to turn ON ALL the lights in the room....and when I arrive, I walk around the room turning on ALL the lights....our damn L&D rooms have like 5 different light switches for the 4 lights that are in the room.

Thoughts on my practice.

Anyone else do the same thing.

Or do you guys think I humming the looney tunes while I do this...like all the staff think where I practice.
