My wife is planning to apply to CRNA program in US. We live in Canada and she holds a Canadian license with 10 yrs. experience as NICU nurse. She also has a Bachelor Degree from D'Youville in Buffalo and her GPA is good. She is preparing for GRE now. But the problem we have encountered is US RN license, which is prerequisite in all schools. My wife does not mind to write NCLEX, but it seems that one actually has to have a job offer in US in order to get a license. So can one get a license in any US state without working there? If there are any Canadian nurses on this forum who went straight into CRNA school from Canada, please let me know. If anybody has any additional info that might be helpful, I would also appreciate it.
