Is it when the wave of the dicrotic notch looks "v -ish", as opposed to the normal a line waveform that should be "m-ish"?

I thought it had to do with impedence of the "soundwaves" of the waveform flowing thru tight vessels, therefore, the "overshoot waveform" is unreliable in pertaining to the bp, and u should therefore us the nibp.

Am i on track -- or even close?
