hi....
can anyone with the knowledge--or experience in non-cardiac icu nursing--give me any thoughts about how much you get to work with pressors and other crna-school-friendly things in non-cardiac icus? the reason i ask is that at my icu i'm starting at (which has distinct cardiac, neuro, trauma and medical subsections), they do not accept people onto their "cardiac team" until you have 1-2 yrs icu experience. i was wondering which of the 3 alternatives, if any, provide much chance to work with pressors or other things crna school looks for (i know they use vents extensively in all 4 departments.). as well, IS cardiac icu the best place to get said experience? guess i should get that one straight before i pick a path...

thanks!
