Hi, I am finishing up a BSN this semester. I have just gotten a couple of letters from Sigma Theta Tau and Phi Kappa Phi. I have been asked to join these two groups. The nursing honors society costs $105 to join and the other is $50 per year. I can apply for scholarships through Phi Kappa Phi but I can't find any reason join STTI. Do these make a difference in the selection process for CRNA school? I have much better things to spend my money on at this time and wonder if they will benefit me at all. I got invited based on my GPA. Isn't having a high GPA enough...do I really need to join these groups? I suppose I could add them to my resume, but do I need to? I would like feedback from anyone, but if those of you with selection committee experience could help me too, it would be great!

Thanks in advance!
