Hello, it has been a while since my last posting. I am currently taking a general chemistry and organic chemistry all rolled into one. I have a question. We are looking at combustion. I am trying to figure out this question. " how much carbon dioxide will be produced with the combustion of 50.0 grams of methane?" Any advise on how to set this up? I have the equation balanced
CH4 + 2O2 = CO2 + 2H2O
and I have the molecular weight of each, but am having trouble converting moles to grams, and grams to moles. I know this may seem easy, but I cant seem to get through it. please help.
Thanks,
