I am starting work in an ICU and have the choice of working 3am-3pm, or 3pm until 3am. Neither is a cut and dry "day" or "night" shift, but with the first one, I would have more interaction with doctors, at least I would assume, and things are more hectic during the day with people coming in and out. I don't know if they task of taking care of critical care patients should be any easier at "night", though...so I am wondering if someone thinks working one or the other would make a difference to a CRNA admissions committee. Working the night would make my life a lot easier in terms of family and my body clock, but I will do either one if necessary.
