I recently purchased this small textbook written by Eger in 1974. Much of what we are taught today concerning inhalational anesthetics is based upon the findings published in this book. Eger also explains difficult concepts like uptake, the concentration effect, and the second gas effect in very clear and understandable terms.

This book is available on several sites and can be purchased used for as little as 15 dollars. I highly recommend this book.
