Please correct me where I am wrong and explain some of this for me. Starting july 1st medicare payments to doctors (as well as anesthesia I assume) will be cut by 10%....unless a bill is passed to reverse this? I saw in the news today that the house overwhelmingly passed this bill and actually increased the medicare reimbursment by a little over a percent. This still has to go through congress and the president correct? Also from what I have read there will be another medicare cut slated for the first part of 2009, is there a bill similair to this one to limit that cut as well? What kind of chances do these cuts have of going through, obviously this is all i read about when searching about medicare and anesthesia but nothing seems to make total sense to me. Thanks for any help.
