First, a recent guest lecturer stated that it is thyroid pressure that has the potential to improve your view during DL, not cricoid pressure, which was said to possibly worsen the view. Has anyone seen any research on this?

Second, though most guidelines advocate for giving ondasetron thirty or so minutes before the end of surgery, I was also told that in order for it to be effective in treating PONV related to intraoperative opioid use it has to be given before the first dose of opioids. I have searched for evidence-based info on both of these but came up with nothing.

Any help?
