I am writing this humbly trying to figure out if I have what it takes to be a CRNA. I am 38 yo. three kids, hubby. BSN. I have 5 years critical care experience. ACLS, PALS. I am retaking a chemistry and pathophysiology this summer to possibly apply to crna school. I consider myself a nurse with a lot of common sense and have learned not to get too excited when things go wrong at the bedside. (How can you help your patient if you are going bananas?)I don't have a lot of swan experience but art. lines, cvp, and ventriculostomies are good for me. We are a level 1 trauma center so I see my share of pretty bad things. I know what I need to get into school I just need to know if I have a good enough background. Thanks for any input.
