I am accepted into the CRNA program in Nebraska. My wife is a teacher in Texas with a BS degree in Biology. It used to be that you had to have a degree in education in order to teach in the US, however Pres. Bush's "No Child Left Behind" program enabled someone with another degree to become a teacher in that subject area. I wont go into the details because it's not important.

Nebraska Dept. of Education WILL not allow someone without a degree in education to have a teaching certificate because they choose not to implement the same program(s) Texas does. In a nutshell, she cannot be a teacher in Nebraska without going back to school for an Ed Degree.

So...she is one very smart lady with a BS in Biology. The jobs in Nebraska are very hard to come by. What's left to do?
