Hello! I just found this forum a few hours ago, while doing some research about the nurse anesthesia profession. I think this forum is a wonderful idea! KUDOS to who ever thought it up! Anyways, I am a senior in college at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. I am about to graduate with a B.S. in Biology. I first heard about nurse anesthesia last year, when my anatomy lab partner told me thats what she wanted to do. When she explained to me what nurse anesthetists do I became intrigued. I went and shadowed a nurse anesthetist a few weeks later and FELL IN LOVE!!! :smlove2: The only thing I am worried about is when I saw an epidural, I almost fell smack-face onto the floor! (I had to use the smellin salts) I am worried about whether or not I will be able to stick ppl with 5 inch needles! Did anyone else have this phobia like me? Or should I just consider another career? Thanks!
