Atlas of Peripheral Nerve Blocks & Anatomy for Orthopaedic Anesthesia
Atlas of Peripheral Nerve Blocks and Anatomy for Orthopaedic Anesthesia with DVD (The Atlases of Anesthesia Techniques Series)
By: Andre P. Boezaart
Master all of the blocks required for orthopaedic anesthesia, including both single-injection and continuous nerve blocks! This text and its companion DVD thoroughly review the anatomy points you need to know to effectively execute these techniques, and demonstrate all 16 essential nerve blocks as performed by specialists in orthopaedic anesthesiology. Abundant full-color photographs of the sequence of each block combined with full-color drawings and photographs of cadaver sections of the applied anatomy help to ensure proper needle placement for each procedure
I spent a few hours and watched the DVD which came with this book. I have to say, it was extremely well done and probably one of the best educational DVDs I have ever seen for blocks. Everything from actual blocks being done, graphics and animations as well as cadaver dissections to make for a perfect visual experience. Really for me, this is the absolute best way to learn. Seeing these blocks done and exactly how can replace the instruction you might be missing in school.
The book is as well written as you would expect with full page glossy pictures and graphics. I found it very easy to follow and made a few things I was a bit confused about clear. Add to this the amazing DVD that came with it and I feel this is one of the best packages on the market for learning ortho related peripheral nerve blocks.
