Nurse anesthesia is the practice of nursing. Making outrageous claims that nurses are the same as doctors not only makes you look silly, it opens up a debate that should never occur in the first place. It makes an assertion that is patently untrue and gives the appearance that we are insecure and defensive. We stand on the quality of our own clinical outcomes, we do not need to make senseless comparisons with other providers.
