    Default Quick Question

I am from texas and going to become a CRNA in college. I wanted to go to University of Texas at Arlington but I was not sure how the CRNA schools would look at that compared to some one from a larger University such as University of Texas at Austin. Where is a good place to go in Texas for my BSN?

I don't think it matters so much where you go but rather how you do in the program. There are a lot of good BSN programs in Texas - TCU in FtW, Baylor in Dallas, and several in Houston, including HBU, TWU, UT and Prairie View. (I'm sure there are others I haven't listed...)

It really doesn't matter. I graduated from UTA and am in my first semester of CRNA school. They have a good nursing program. But, really, what is a good nursing program? You'll see what I mean in a few years.

Also, trust me, you don't want to blow your wad (money) on undergraduate nursing. CRNA school is expensive enough and nobody really cares where you went for undergrad.

    Hey J

Where you get your BSN dosent mean anything as long as you have one. Believe me, nothing you learn in undergrad will be useful for CRNA school (except APA format!). What will make all the difference in the world during CRNA school is the experience you get AFTER you graduate.

Make sure that you get a good job with lots of experience and i would suggest a mix of both ICU and ER not just ICU.

Success in life is the result of good judgment. Good judgment is usually the result of experience. Experience is usually the result of bad judgment.
