Don't usually do this but I gotta know. Came up empty in a pub med search... Fully anecdotal observation, but.....

Shunt out, vessel loops out, flow restored to operative vessel.... under GA, no change in anesthetic depth or muscle relaxant, or surgical stimulation. Within 3 to 5 minutes about 10 to 20% of patients move or cough or something. All at that little window when the vessel loops come down.

I thought I was just sh***y anesthetist, but a surgeon mentioned he noticed the very same thing wherever he went. I started to note when that happened and it corresponds to the observation.

I'm not interested in folks opinion on why it might be happening... it doesn't make any sense..I just want to know if anyone else notices it.

Anyone?
