So far in my extremely limited experience (1st semester, just checked meditrax, I have 16 intubations under my belt; 3 nasal), pediatric intubations seem easier than adult to me. Maybe it's because there isn't so much floppy extra tissue like some adults? Many of the airway differences in peds that we memorized made it seem like they would be more difficult (more anterior/cephalad, proportionally larger tongue, bigger occiputs, etc.)

Is there a general consensus on this? Do you find peds easier than adults for intubation? Adults easier than peds? Or no real correlation, just depends on the patient?
