Had a physician ask me to be involved in a physical therapy setting in the hospital where a patient with burns to lower extremities would be placed in a whirlpool tub for exercise and skin debridement. He wanted to administer ketamine after he was given Dilaudid and versed. I would like to give you a history but I refused to be involved as soon as I heard "whirlpool tub." I am was sympathetic and Ketamine would probably be a great choice for skin procedures with these type patients but no way I was doing it. Thoughts? Anybody bold enough to do it?
