I do plastic general anesthesia and use an automatic blood pressure measurement. These cases are long, usually 5-8 hours. The patients complain of very severe arm pain, some numbness upon emergence on the cuffed arm. The cuff is applied appropriately and the arms are less then 90 degrees and out on padded arm boards secured with loosely ace wraps. Any observations o suggestions? An arterial line isn't an option. The dynamap appears to be working correctly: not over inflating, etc. Thanks.
