I see a lot of anesthetist in my group running a propofol drip at about 25mcg/kg/min with general anesthesia (sevo, des, iso) and saying its for PONV and shutting it off at the end of the case. I was under the impression that the propofol drip had to be running to be effective in helping with PONV, anyone know about if this helps or could share some research about this or do you just think its a waste of precious propofol during a shortage. Thanks
