I just bought a little pen light to get a decent view down the deep crevasses that are the mouths of my patients. I have trouble seeing all the way back on a regular basis. Unless the lights are at just the right angle all I see is a deep dark hole. I have not seen anyone carrying around or using a light to see what is happening back there. Do any of you use such an item?

And speaking of airways, I had an MDA that said the most important factor in getting someone intubated is mouth opening size. If you can get in, you have enough tools to get an airway in place.

Any thoughts on the most significant airway parameter?

-I'd love to say and continue this convo, but reddit needs me on this saturday night.
