Default Family at bedside during epidural placement?

I'm just curious if you guys allow family in the room during epidurals if so do you have a limit? If not, why?

I was placing an epidural the other day on a 19 year-old Primigravida and she wouldn't maintain a good position thus I was struggling a bit. Anyway, momma was trying to tell her how to position herself and they were going back and forth so I asked her to step out, had the nurses help to maintain position, and she did much better. Since being out of school I usually let 1 person stay but sometimes it is more harmful than helpful. I'm considering just asking everyone to step out until I'm done....
