Post op hypotension.... why?
71 y/o F in for a hip replacement.
Hx: HTN, DM, CAD, Hypothyroid
Rx: Glyburide, Atenolol, levot.
Alx: NKDA
Labs unremarkable except H/H 11.5/32
Intraop course normal. GA with ETT 1 of dilaudid 100 of fentanyl and 2 of versed pre op.
2.5 L fluid 1 500cc 5% alb.
EBL: 500 cc
In PACU patient is awake but moderately hypotensive, 80/50 with HR 94
PACU RNs give 2000 cc more fluid and one more albumin with NO result.
BP still in the low 80's systolic.
