I'm sitting in the OR taking care of yet another patient on this wonderful Saturday and wondered...What is everyone's practice for call...How often do you do it. Do you get the next day off?
Right now I started working at 5am. Placed an epidural, pre opped 3 patients. Did a 4 hour Laparotomy, followed by a Hip Nailing. Now on second hip nailing, and will follow with an exploratory laparotomy, probable bowel resection. I think I'm on a weekend from hell...and it looks like no end in sight. Tell me your current practice.
