Hi, I’m in my first semester of nurse anesthesia school. I was wondering if any CRNAs would be willing to help me with an Ethics assignment that requires me to interview two CRNAs about ethical issues they've encountered in practice. Basically, I just need someone to tell me about an ethically challenging case they've been involved in and a few other details:
  • A brief background of the case
  • The ethical issue/problem
  • Why it was an ethical issue (pertaining to conflicting values or principles of the CRNA)
  • Their actions and rationale
  • The outcome of the case
  • And looking back at the case, would they do anything differently
I will then analyze each case using ethical models we've been discussing in class and write a paper about it (I might have a few follow up questions at that point). It could be by phone, email, or PM… whatever is easiest!
