Hi everyone, just looking for some thoughts on this one....
I'm presenting a case to the class which involved a difficult airway. CRNA/MDA were unable to pass the OET initially, they were able to eventually place a size 6 anode fiberoptic with "much force" ( i was told this, it's not documented on the chart).
Following up with the chart post op it looks like ENT diagnosed her with subglottic stenosis and ordered a CT of the neck. The CT of the neck showed no stenosis and no mass whatsoever.
I'm just trying to come up with some other differential diagnosis for why they had difficulty with tube placement.
I've come up with
1. subglottic stenosis
2.mass or cyst beneath cords

any other ideas?
thanks in advance,
