Default Andy Harris: Where's my gov't subsidized health care?

How they change their tune once they enter the hallowed halls of Congress.

If this is true, then the guy's a doosh.

Something tells me though, that he's just trying to make a point. I doubt anyone would be so foolish as to pull a stunt like that after having his entire campaign based against Obamacare.

    But...I've misread people before.

He apparently did it to show the "inefficiency" of Gov't run healthcare...yet he still wants it.

Good grief. I know y'all don't like Andy Harris, but...

The Federal Government will now be his employer. He is eligible for health insurance like millions of other federal employees (yes, I'm sure Congress probably has a special plan), so it's no more "subsidized healthcare" than all the other federal employees. (I'm sure it makes for a better headline, but it's crap). He is correct that most health insurance plans kick in on the day of employment. So, except that it's Andy Harris raising the stink about it, do you really care?

My current job as well as previous jobs I've had did not kick in until 1 month after full time employment had started. I had to purchase a separate policy to cover me until my employer benefits kicked it. This is not uncommon.

That is incorrect. Most places make employees wait a month or so. We are usually an exception due to our professional status. He's a spoiled little brat.

I'd care if it was any politician who ran on a platform AGAINST government healthcare who would then complain that his government healthcare was an issue. Maybe I just love the irony in the situation, but yes the general dislike for the gentleman on this website I'm sure also helps.

From what i can tell he is simply trying to make a name for himself like all politicians. Unfortunately, this sortof thing polarizes people. Some will cheer him and some will hate him for it. Most will see it for what it is, shenanigans of a nobody newbie trying tio stand out..... probably not a good idea.
