Just curious what you guys are doing?

Some of my preceptors want me to stop as soon as the tip of my ETT is between the cords, have someone pull the stylet, and then finish advancing. Other CRNAs have told me that it's fine to advance all the way in with the stylet in place as you don't have a dramatic bend (hockey stick). Most recently, I worked with a CRNA who didn't let me use a stylet all day. Her rationale was that if you really need a stylet, you should use an eschman as this will cause less trauma.
