I love giving dilaudid in pre-op as we are getting ready to roll back.
I'm sure there is a thread for unusual occurrences.....so apologies for not using that thread. But.....I've been in the OR in one capacity or another
I agree with j-dub, versed is warranted majority of time. But I also do give dilaudid to most patients preop in holding as well

Outta curiosity, what narcotics are you front-loading? Is this in the pre-op area?
