My journey from RN to CRNA

Hey all

So i have gotten quite excited about going to CRNA school over the last few months. It is interesting that when one makes a life changing decision like that just how liberating it is. In anycase, a large part of my excitement has come from two particular leaders we have all come to know.

Yoga CRNA and Deepz

These two individuals are not just long term CRNAs, they are exactly the sortof CRNAs i want to be. Dedicated to the profession, politically active, highly motivated and clearly nurturing to new SRNAs. I aspire to be like them.

That leads me to why i decided to create this site. I spent hours looking for a resource for SRNAs and CRNAs. The best thing i found that had any activity was ALLNURSES.com. However, it was very disorganized, unmoderated and certainly not specialized to the Nurse Anesthesia profession. Many times i would see people upset due to the state of the forums. Then a turning point came, yoga quit.

So i emailed her and said i would offer to setup a website of forums that she would direct and i would maintain. That was where this came from. I started on it the same day that I sent the email offer. She ended up comming back to allnurses for the benefit on everyone else but really nothing changed.

I let the project go for awhile and then decided to finish it. Once done i was excited about it and decided to open it to the public. That leads me here. As far as i know deepz and yoga will be apart of this site as well many CRNAs and SRNAs. We have a great staff and only more great users will come.

I have emiled the AANA and many of the student reps. I will soon place some phone calls so that this site can be a free resource to everyone who is interested in Nurse Anesthesia.
