So, I have been busy since my last post. I've been in the ICU for 2 years now and am quite comfortable there. I'm also crosstraining to our ED. After getting my CCRN certification I applied and was accepted to anesthesia school. The newness off being accepted has worn off, but I am still over the moon. I can't wait for class to start this fall. My husband makes fun of me because I looked at the class descriptions for the program and am looking forward them all.

It got out at work that I was accepted when I wasn't really wanting to tell everyone. I had forgotten that one of my coworkers had friended me on Facebook. Oops. I don't mind them knowing, but I didn't want things to change. Of course they have a little bit, but not as much as I had feared.

I know that I will have a different attitude in six months or so when I'm in the thick of it, but for now I am just enjoying the excitement of it all.

Congratulations to you! Welcome to the "deep end of the pool". As a new grad, I can remember the excitement when I got accepted into my program! It's the hardest thing you'll ever do, but it's all worth it in the end. The excitement of getting your diploma, and the overwhelming feeling you get when you see "PASS" on your board exam is the best thing ever!
    Best of luck to you!!

Congrats! Like yourself, I'll be starting anesthesia school this year. I'm active duty army so I'll be doing the USAGPAN program. Getting that acceptance letter is awesome; validates all your hard work. Good luck to you. Study hard.

Congrats. Get Valley book and read it from now until your program starts. You will be ahead of your classmates and it will make school more pleasant

Thanks for all your comments and advice. I'm still excited, but am really starting to wonder if I can really do this. I guess there is only one way to find out!
