hey guys. new to the site. i have been wanting to start an all crna group, but haven't a clue where to start. i have been talking to a few of the surgeons whom i work with often, and they seem to be on board with the idea. the hiccup is that these surgeons are employed by the hospital, and i am currently employed by the same hospital. i just know that a lot of the surgeons are unhappy with the current anesthesia services. they are not able to get the number of cases done that they would like. so i thought if i could get a few of the more seasoned and experienced crna's together to work exclusively for these docs maybe that would help. any suggestions on how to go about doing this would be appreciated.

Have you considered getting a group of surgeons together and opening a surgical center. You could be a partner and employ whomever you wanted. The trick is to be a partner, otherwise you could be replaced at any moment, or a group of MDA's could muscle in on your group and take over.
