My journey from RN to CRNA

This is a running log of my experience in the process.

  1. Turkey Day over, Am i rechanged to start again?

    Hmmmmm

Tough question. We were off wed-sun so a nice 5 day break from everything anesthesia. I was glad for it because i had gotten to the point of burn out on everything. It happens, be prepared for it.

Luckily i feel good to go for monday. Not sure if im enthusiastic for class on friday really, but I am Ok for tomorrow! One day at a time right?

It is funny how my attitude has changed over the last 3 months orso in particular. I feel like i just dont care ...

  2. Is your class Close?

Interesting to watch people dont you think?

I guess I find it odd how groups of people quickly divide. I sometimes wonder why that is? I guess i can understand it in social situations since really you have nothing binding you together. However, when you are in a group together for the same reason you would think there would be more cohesiveness right?

  3. Two Months Till Seniorship and Rotations

    Welp...

So far so good in this semester and we are about 1/3 done. It is hard to believe that in about 2 months I will be a senior. Once that happens Ill be in a room by myself and we start rotations out for specialties like hearts, neuro, OB and Paeds.

  4. Looking Behind and looking ahead

    Hmm

Well it is always interesting to look at where you have come from and where you are headed I think. Sortof puts things into perspective a little.

This time last year I was already accepted and doing MSN classes wondering what it will be like to move across the country (for the second time) somewhere that I had never been and knew noone but those i met online and within the air medical community. What would it be like making such a career change and being back in school ...

  5. A Disaster Averted! *Whew*

    Well

Being in a new program means there will be changes and tweaks. Recently we had our whole grade scheme changed to cumulative exams. Cumulative midterm, cumulative (whole semester) finals. Damn. Thats a shocker!

Anywho, as another student and i were looking at the syllabus as well as the other class we are taking (patho) syllabus we became terrified. Both had cumulative exams and the exams are 100% of your grade. Not to mention, both sets of exams are on the same days!! ...
