  1. Almost a senior?

    Now if that isnt scary, I dont know what is?........presidential election maybe? Next rotation starts Tuesday. A couple of short weeks later..........I'm a senior. I go to sleep as a junior and wake up a senior. OMG!!!!!!!!!:Flush: :aargh4:

    I was working with my PD today. Fun. First case, everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Nothing I did personally but as a student, you feel responsible for everything. Nothing I did made the pulse ox cable go bad but........its my pt and I'm with the PD. Nothing I did made the EKG not want to pick up for a bit with solid connections etc. But it did. Nothing I did.......I could go on and on.Started a 16ga......it ran like a champ. Then both IV's stopped. I didnt do anything but they stopped. ...

    So last night I check email. At the facility i am rotating to currently, we get emails the night before telling us about the cases we have and the CRNA/MDA we have. I guess so we can be excited or really dread the day....any or all of it can be good/bad news So i look and i have a thryoidectomy and transoral laryngeal resection.   4. One extreme to the other

    I started the program so keyed up i couldnt sleep. I was constantly thinking. I had to take something to help me sleep at times. I would wake up in midthought. I've NEVER been a nap taker. I think naps are a waste of time. But lately.....OMG. I have gone from one extreme to the other. I TRY to study when i get home from clinicals. But if i sit still, it's over. Last week I sat down to study. A little while later I heard something. Sat up, realized I was asleep..........I snored.......I dont snore.....do ...

  5. been a while

    Nothing to say really. I got my first RIJ CVL this past week. Three Alines. Seen some really interesting cases. About to finish month 4 of clinicals and.........I am at "the big house" doing clinicals. Very interesting cases there. Pts are a lot sicker and approach to anesthesia is much different. Freaked me out first time i did a .5 MAC for a surgery (shiver). So far so good. Great learning experience. Now to study...............
