New Grad Jobs?

How did everyone get their first job as a CRNA? Were there jobs available at places where you did clinicals? Any jobs I've seen posted online require a few years experience. I realize most jobs are word of mouth, but I'm wondering how most people got their very first job out of school.

I graduated in '99. We all had jobs (class of 10 people) 6-12months before we graduated. 3 of us stayed at the hosp we trained @, 5 stayed in the Knoxville area, 1 went to west Memphis where she'd worked before as an RN, the other went north. It's probably a good idea to "stay in good graces" w/previous employers, because a job is a job, & once you graduate you'll need one, even if its not the perfect one. An older CRNA I knew before I went to school once told me that job availability waxed & waned over the years. I didn't believe her until recently. Until about a year ago, jobs around here were plentiful, & most hospitals were offereing nice sign-on bonuses. Now few places are hiring in this area.
