I had a Molluccan Cockatoo for 18 years...Huge parrot and louder than a car horn....

My entire neighborhood could hear it when he screamed inside the house...and thought I was beating my wife for the longest time.


Finally had to give him away because he started chasing and biting my children out of jealousy. I miss him dearly.

I've had my grey for 7 years now (he's just over 8). Moluccans are beautiful birds. I've owned a few types of birds, no cockatoos though. They can definitely be difficult @ times. Buddha got himself into trouble last night. He bit the heck outta me not once but twice!! He hasn't done that in a long, long time. Not sure what made him mad. You know how birds are... :ugh2: Can't live with him, can't live without him.
