Anyone using the prodigy materials to get ready for boards? If you've already taken boards, and you used prodigy's stuff, did you find it useful? I went ahead and ordered the workbook & computerized exams, but I'm just curious about what other people think of it.

Thx,
Lou

I used them for board preparation. They did help a little but I would not rely on them. They do make a nice adjunct to your prep.
The questions are very hard compared to the valley questions. However they probably were more like the actual board questions than Valley and a more realistic practice test.
You will get 5 exams of 90 questions. If you go through and read the explanations of the correct and incorrect answers, then you will definitely pick up a few things. I'm sure I learned some new stuff from the Prodigy review.
One thing I didn't like is that when I took the tests for the first time I did really BAD. This does not help your confidence a week before boards. Once you take a test, it will be the same questions again so you are guarunteed a better score the second time. This may not reflect a true score, but you will learn the answers through repetition.
Bottom line. It's a nice adjunct but not something to spend too much time on. I would still spend most of my effort in Morgan and Mikhail and Valley Review.
