Hello guys, I just want to get your opinion about taking a web based course in Advance Pathophysiology. Last time I took an online class, it didn't work out for me, I felt like it was more time consuming than a regular lecture. I am also thinking about taking Biochemistry, I'm finishing Organic right now. I'm not really sure which one would benefit me more. Please help!

Wow, well I am have almost a year (front loaded) of school behind me, and if those were my only options I would pick patho. I never had organic or biochemistry, though I did have 8 hours of regular chemistry. My first semester in anes I had anesthesia medical/physical sciences, and it wasn't bad. IMO I think advanced patho is so much more interesting b/c you probably now have the clinical knowledge from working to connect the dots. Before I did either though, I would do CCRN, if you haven't already.... but that is only my opinion. The other problem with taking an advanced patho, is that you will just be taking it again when you get to anesthesia school, and its considered an "ANES" class, so I'm not sure all your hard work would transfer in...

Thanks so much for the input. Taking advance patho vs biochem was a recommendation given to me by a program coordinator in the university I'm trying to apply to. Organic is a prerequisite. I already have my CCRN. I'm just trying to increase my chances of gettin' in by taking this advance classes. By the way, have you guys taken any web-based classes. In my area, they only offer adv. patho as web-based, not really sure if I'm going to like it.
