Is anyone finding private loans for above the COA for the 09-10 school year? I can hardly find anything...and those that I did find, denied me quickly. I guess my family of four will have to learn to eat off the $8.31/day that my COA includes for food. :eek5:

Obama is showing me no love. I need a stimulus package. I need someone to redistribute some wealth to me...does the hospital cafeteria take food stamps?

I was denied quickly also. I am working, been there for 10 years, my wife is working also (who is an RN). She cosigned and just payed off a car thru Wells Fargo last month (one year early) and we were denied. We both own homes have TSPs(govrnment 401ks) with enough to cover the tution of crna school, but still denied...oh yeah, credit scores around 700 too...
Guess I will be working weekends...

I was approved for 25,000 non-certified loan from Wells Fargo but it requires a co-signer. This really SUCKS! I can't even mentally prepare for the challenge of school- I feel like I am in limbo regarding the money. I have a huge mortgage and am afraid I will get halfway through, go into foreclosure, lose my house and then no more federal funding in year two--HELP!!!

I am having some trouble getting additional loans too. I may end up signing a contract with a hospital to get me through. I was really hoping not to have to do this. For anyone headed this route, the PD at the program I'm about to attend sent us a letter suggesting we have an attorney read any contract we are going to sign. Be sure you know what you're signing!!!

If you own a house ThirdFederal.com, a bank in the midwest, offers a home equity line of credit with a variable interest rate starting at 3.00%. I took out a 75k line of credit just in case I need it.....and I'm thinking I will use every dime after Stafford and Grad Plus loans come into play.
