For those that asked, it is NEVER too early. Get out there, meet/greet and network. You never know. Back in March, my school put on a career fair. There were groups, head hunters etc from all over the southeast. It was more or less put to us that we "had to be there." I thought it would be a waste of time for my class since we were only in our second semester AND we had 2 major exams coming up. It cut into my study time. As I thought, most of the reps that we went to were eager to meet us until they heard our grad date. Then it was "here's a pen. See me next year, NEXT!" BUT there were those that showed just as much interest in us as juniors as they were the seniors graduating now. The interesting thing is, we were given some pretty good details by a couple of those places. Sign on bonus plus monthly stipend plus tuition reimbursement. And they were ready to offer it to us as juniors. I passed on it. I hadnt even been into the OR yet. I didnt even know how much I'd like it. So.......I passed. Recently I spoke to one of those places using the contact I made at the fair. Sign on has decreased, no tuition reimbursement, but the stipend was still there. Start pay had dropped some as well. All b/c of the economy. But had I locked in earlier, I'd be good to go. Just some food for thought. Don't count yourself out b/c you are "too new." You may be able to find someone that is willing to pay you while you are in school. Good luck, have fun :)

Thanks for all who attended! It was great! Over 100 persons through the door and all the vendors seemed pleased. Thanks again for all your support.

I was going to check it out, but had a pharm test, and anesthesia machine test that week to study for.

will try to hit it up next year, where ever it may be.
