There is a new combined epidual/spinal simulation model used in major anesthesia schools, including army, AF, and navy anesthesia schools. It is called "Virginia West"... google CSE Model...you should be able to find the website there...it is a great learning tool and has a video with it...it actually feels like you are doing the procedure on a real person!

On the Elsevier Science website there is a section under ProceduresConsult that will allow you to view 34 anesthesia related videos on blocks, epidurals, lines, etc... for free for 30 days, after registering. Detailed written explainations as well. I am not sure how much it will cost to buy after the 30 day free trial. But worth viewing for at least that trial period.

We need a section on this site dedicated to educational stuff like this...videos, tips, techniques...etc!!

It would be very handy to have videos, powerpoints, lectures and other resources available not only to download but to view online.

http://csemodel.com/

They will send you a video if you request it.....most of the anesthesia schools have these now, but some are still in the process of purchasing. Even the Army program purchased 25 of these models for practice/simulation labs.

thanks for all of the replies. i'm much more comfortable doing cse's by now.
also, i'm a big fan of proceduresconsult.com and have had a number of trials (since they only offer institutional licenses currently). i've begged my profs to purchase this since i think it would be a huge help for future students prior to showing up for lab days & clinical.
