Just wondering what different smartphones people use that are compatible with Apple computers besides the iphone. I'm not quite sold on the iphone even though I am fan of Apple products. I'm tired of carrying my phone and palm around.

I use a Blackberry curve and sync it with my Macbook using a program called Missing Sync. I will be starting my program in August. I have some anesthesia programs downloaded from skyscape that work on the Blackberry. I love my Crackberry, but there is no phone on the market that can do the internet like the iPhone.I got my BB for free and find it very easy to type on. The iPhone is a little more difficult to type on for me.

Palm brand PDAs play well with Macs. I just bought a Palm Tungston E2 before I deployed to Iraq. Worked fine with my Mac. I'm using PEPID (Critical Care version).

gripper,
yeah I have a palm tungsten now but I'm actually looking into smartphones. That way I can get the use of two devices and only pack around one. I'm kinda lagging on owning the high tech gadgetry. The blackberry is what I'm kinda leaning towards but was wondering what others had to say.

I purchased a Palm Treo from AT&T. It's a phone & palm all in one. I can surf the net, run epocrates & play my music while talking on the phone. I'm pretty sure that it can be used with a Mac. Thought about the iPhone (the internet looks better on it) but it won't run epocrates or other specialized programs.

I have the Treo 750 and have Epocrates on it and it runs fine. Have you done a Sync lately?

I have another smartphone/MAC question. I bought a palm treo 700wx a few months ago (microsoft windows mobile OS) and I love the phone but I'm not sure about syncing it with my new macbook.
Does anyone else have this phone and sync it with their macbook?
I purchased this phone because it seemed like the best smartphone on the market that will support medatrax which is what I'll be using for school. Apparently Verizon doesn't have any smartphones with the Palm OS anymore :(
I want to purchase the missing sync and try it but I'm still unsure if it will work. I've heard that the treo doesn't play well with iCal so I'm also looking at Entourage for organizing my info. Does anyone use this program?
Any help is appreciated!

The treo is the devo! I had it and it crashed several times rendering my stupid calendar lost! Sucks.
So I have the beautiful bb curve and just LOVE IT! I considered the iphone and someday I might get one IF I switch service providers. At this point I am more than wonderful. Frankly I am tired of touch screen applications. My laptop and home computer are touch screen and that blasted treo was a touchscreen.
I sync with outlook and then I have outlook google sync my calender so I have several copies of my calendar everywhere... maybe even outerspace! The blackberry support people where making fun of me for this... but it is worth the peace of mind.
bb is takin to a whole, nubo, Levo!
