One thing I've heard from pretty much all the CRNA's I've talked with is that I should try to find a school that has clinicals strong in regional anesthesia (beyond epidurals and spinals). Apparently not all programs are able to provide an abundance of this experience due to medical school affiliations or other reasons. My question is how do I find this information out? So far when I have asked this question to program faculty they have just told me that they exceed the required number of cases/hours, kind of vague answers if you ask me. Are there schools out there that are 'known' for being strong in regional anesthesia?

My school does, but it depends on your clinical site. I'm fortunate to be in an area that does tons of regional....and does it well with people that want to teach you how to do it.

BryanLGH in Nebraska is a good place, graduates doing 50+ SABs and epidurals. There are a lot of clinical sites used that have CRNAs teaching the SRNAs different techniques.
