This is completely off topic, but why on earth would a CRNA continue to use the CCRN title? There are a hundred different little certifications that are in no way comparable to CRNA.

Sounds like it belongs in the nursey-nurse thread.

Not quite certain why she is using a title for a role that she has not worked for some time. Makes one begin to wonder about our "leaders".

Don't you need +400 bedside/supervisor ICU hours to renew the CCRN title? And I thought the "Alumnus" had to use "Alumnus CCRN?"

theoretically, couldn't a crna be considered CCRN since we deal with such patients daily?

That isnt required only suggested.

You can take the CCRN and the CEN without ever actually working in either department.

Looks like they interviewed at least one regional director, possibly an SRNA, members attending the AANA convention and people leaving the AANA headquarters building.

Looks like the AANA is a bit concerned with a drop of membership. I guess the days of getting them as students and they are members for life are drawing to a close.

Money always talks. It's funny how the "we're seperate, we can't do anything brushoff" changes to more of an interest/concern because of membership.
