My first day at the track

I had such a blast today. Ran my first quarter mile drag race (first legal quarter mile anyway). It was a total rush! My quarter mile time was a consistent 14.0 sec (with driver and one passenger) - which is ok...but not all that impressive...pretty good for a street legal car and daily driver, but will be better after a couple more mods, without the 200 pounds of extra weight due to having a passenger ride along, and as I get more experience down the strip. But I'm most proud of my reaction time of 0.128 seconds - better than everybody I ran against today, and even better than my husband - a man who's made about 500 passes down the strip. It was just a fun, fun freakin day!

I'm gonna have to do this allllll the time now I think :).

What kind of car are you going to the strip with?

I'm not much of a 1/4 mile guy. I do more Time attack and road courses. Sounds like you are hooked. Keep the rubber side down :beerglass:

Went to the track again on Tuesday evening. I only got one run in, but I cut a better time, finishing the quarter mile in 13.6 seconds this time. What a blast!! Got a nice pic from it too :) http://www.nurse-anesthesia.org/photopost/data/500/medium/BKD7-03-27_004A.jpg
