I'd be interested as well...I own the non-nurse Ed.....love it...have a friend who feels the same about the nurse edition...

Interetingly...the previous edition written by Duke had a number of CRNA authors.

I own both and almost exclusively used the Duke Secrets edition. I'm too lazy to go and dig the two out right now and give you concrete examples of differences but IMO the Duke edition provided more detail when discussing topics (and covered more topics in general) whereas the Nurse Anesthetist edition seemed a bit anemic. If you had to choose one or the other I would recommend the Duke edition. I still use it occasionally to get a quick read on a topic I haven't looked at for awhile. Keep in mind, that books such as these are not good books to study for exams or boards but simply to refresh or reinforce what you have learned more thoroughly elsewhere.

No, I don't need specific examples. I was curious on the general feeling on the two....if one is better than the other, or if they are just so different you need both or neither or whatever. I appreciate the feedback :)

I had compared the two side by side a few years ago before I started, duke wins hands down, especially the new edition...

didn't even know there were two different anesthesia secrets books...just did a little happy dance when I checked my bookshelf to see which one I had. Not that I've had time to read it yet but I'll get there. :)
