I did my first year in school and still use the app ALL the time. Very useful and worth the money (at least for me). I would highly recommend it for SRNAs!

I bought it when i first got my droid, now that i've started school I truly understand what a great resource I have. In the meantime for the future SRNA it was a great aid in the ICU as well. I'd buy it, but I'm only 4 weeks into school. On the other hand I haven't found a whole lot of apps for the Droid that are anesthesia specific.
The Manual of Anesthesia Practice is an excellent resource/reference. And, I would highly recommend this app, especially for students (though I still reference it all the time).
If you have an iPhone, Palm, or BB though, I'd recommend getting it from Skyscape. While Skyscape's doesn't have the Davis Drug Guide, it is a whole lot cheaper but it's unavailable for Droids. I use Sota's drug guide anyway so no big deal for me.
Sadly, I have a Droid, so in order to use this I had to shell out the $$.

davis drug guide (nursey nursey) is inferior for the money compared to the free medscape or skyscape or even epocrates. all free. and honestly, for meds, medscape is quick and nice.

I have supplemented with medscape and skyscape since they were free. I have found each has something others don't. Usually, if I can't find what I want in any one of these, I find it in one of the other two.

I recently shelled out for Unbound Medicine's Anesthesia Central and I have been impressed. I also purchased the MGH handbook from Skyscape and found Anesthesia Central to be a better investment despite the higher cost. I was particularly pleased with the ability to access the entire system online with my laptop in addition to the resource on my iphone. The resource is especially helpful for quickly knocking out care plans for unfamiliar surgeries. The operation descriptions read like a simplified version of M&M+Jaffee. The weakness in this app is minimal cross referencing with the anesthesia, lab, and drug resources. It would be better if the components were more closely linked but despite this it is a valuable addition to my reference tools, although it certainly pains me to spend as much on apps as it would have cost to upgrade to a new Iphone 4. :frusty: Such is the life of a student.
**Edit** If you decide to buy this app save yourself a couple bucks by going to the Unbound Medicine twitter page or Facebook page to get a 10% off coupon

I'm a droid user, I was curious about Anesthesia Central too... but wooah 150 dollars. I wonder if we can have a trial version...like 30 days and then if you hate it you can uninstall it and get your $$ back.

For those who bought anesthesia central...
Did you compare it to the skyscape apps?

I did, and I must say it is nice to have a fully-comprehensive resource all in one application. Honestly I think Epocrates is a little more specific than Davis's Drug Guide (the pharm. portion of anesthesia central), but other than that, this application is a fantastic resource for anesthesia reference, and critical care patho. as well.

Have you seen the skyscape ones? Same thing, bunch of references in one thing... wondering how that stacks up
